If a Dressmaker commission asks for lace trim, use a lace trim item during the accessory stage. Ordinary trim is a different item type and will not satisfy that requirement, even if it looks lacy. Check the requirement bar after placing it.
Where to use lace
Buy lace and other accessories in the Emporium's accessory shop, then add them while decorating the dress. Prudence's Flamboyant Funeral uses elegant white lace; Alice's Studious Motivation calls for a lot of lace.
Lace will not count or disappears
- The bar does not move: confirm that you selected lace trim, not ordinary trim.
- Lace disappears while pinning: players report a lace glitch. Pin it in short sections so a failed section costs less work. See known bugs.
- You cannot remove a sewn piece: first remove anything pinned on top of it. The available guides do not confirm a separate universal “remove all lace” command.
